About the Salesians / Jared Rodrigue
Before he ever knew what a Salesian was, he was incredibly attracted to such a beautiful way to holiness through his parish priest. That holiness could be accomplished simply by doing what he was doing, but doing it with joy and optimism, this was amazing to him. And, after years of mission work with orphanages in Piedras Negras, Mexico, he was attracted to teaching this way of life to little ones and raising them in love. In prayer, the Salesians were placed heavily upon his heart. And, in encountering a Don Bosco Prep alumnus, he was encouraged to check them out. And now, in peace, he finds himself still here in the presence of Don Bosco and his legacy. After 12 years of swimming competitively, he quit to answer the call to discern the priesthood.
